Our state’s fiscal challenge:
2.6B deficit divided by 6.3M Washington residents.
Total $413 per capita. Reduce the number by boosting productive population.
We should cut some waste in government. We should fire the top 2% of DSHS management.
We have too many laws and revenues to enforce, they all come from good intentions, activist lobbying and responsive legislative representatives.
We should raise some revenues.
We should encourage immigration of skilled and educated workers.
We should make use of the highway rest stops for selling local products and services…this is golden real estate.
We should look at the practice of double-dipping, early retiring plus lucrative consulting and contracting. Investigation and auditing is needed.
